Our rigorous standards make it very hard for us to find partners that can meet our goals for our supply chain. When we decided to make pillows and duvet inserts, we researched several companies. This partner, a family-run company from our founder Missy Tannen’s hometown, stood above the rest for the way they understood how important our criteria of quality is. They were willing to spend a lot of time in research and development. So a foundation of knowing each other and trusting one another was critical to our success. This partner knew where to find down and feathers that were responsibly sourced, and which down alternative material to offer (PrimaLoft®). We knew how to make our own proprietary toxin-free fabrics. So we both had a lot to offer in this partnership.
Unmatched Quality
This partner was part of the original initiative to create the Responsible Down Standard—a point that put our business philosophies in alignment from the beginning. Leveraging this partner’s expertise in fill, we collaborated on creating something completely new for this category: products that didn’t use any kind of chemical coating, a common practice in down products (to prevent poke through). We created a down proof 100% organic cotton fabric. It broke our partner’s mold, and it was exactly what we were both so excited to bring to market.
Water Recycling
All soaps are biodegradable for a low impact on the environment, and wastewater is recycled at the municipal water recycling plant.
Responsibly-Sourced Down
All down and feather products are ethically sourced, triple-washed, cruelty-free, IDS certified, and florine-free.
